- Supports the use and monitoring of SFP optical modules, making maintenance and upgrading of optical modules easier.
- Supports VC-12, VC-3, VC-4 services and VC-4-4c coupling services.
- Supports transmission and termination of transparent path overheads.
- Supports two-fiber ring MSP, four-fiber ring MSP, linear MSP, SNCP, SNCTP and SNCMP protection schemes.
- Support loop in and loop out at optical interfaces.
- Support loop in and loop out on VC-4 links.
- Support warm reboot and cold reboot. Warm reboot does not affect services.
